Change of seasons

The monthly IG photo a day challenge has inspired me to explore the neighbourhood from a different angle. Everyday objects, ordinary subjects and the usual documentation of the things that make me wag my tail with delight.

Sundayze

A chilled day in the sun. The end of 3 days off.. finnished up some of the long outstanding chores around the garden - tick!

Saturday wrap-up

Spent the morning playing in the garden doing some chores. Brad, Rob and Simon - Wolf swung past for a drink. Then Nursie & the Greek Boy cooked up a great BBQ. Good to see the Z, Marcus and Shannon (daddy & twinkie); a couple of absent friends - strike one boys!

New growth

A lazy Sunday spent: sleeping-in, listening to the rain, catching up with friends, watching dvd's - Kiss-kiss-bang-bang, Superman Returns. Later in the day I made a big pot of green chicken curry. Mmmmmm comfort food.....Winter again? The monsteria in the backyard is looking real sexy at the moment!

Follow the sun

Sunday off was great to recharge. Spent time with Fluffy in the garden - pruning, mulching, re-potting....cleaning up, clearing out. Photo is of a metal sunflower at the Balaclava Kindergarden.

Shade seeking creature

Warming up today. Good day to be inside. Will give the garden a little soak tonite. Stage 3 water restrictions allow this with the drip system I have installed.... they will be real thirty by 8 pm. MUST Investigate some grey water solutions. Add rainwater tank to shopping / home improvement list!
Pic is of new monsteria leaf in my garden, reversed it out to negative on photoDJ on the phone... but i think i prefer the vivid new leaf green

How does your garden grow?

With stage 3 water restrictions in place maintaining a lush garden has become difficult. While I have accepted the die-back and chosen drought tolerant plants surprisingly a few of the exotics are thriving. Moving this carnivorous plant to the darkest corner with occassional misting has brought on exceptional growth!
